Your Zombie Apocalypse weapon of choice

You find yourself in the rather unfortunate situation of waking up to the dreaded Monday morning blues. To make matters worse you are now in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Some days you are better just staying in bed. You curse yourself for not owning a gun but you still have your trusty.....

Choose your weapon, no ballistic weapons only.

EDIT - *non ballisitc*

I would use a aluminum baseball bat. Wooden bats break too easily.

A Machete or Katana. No guns for me. They're just too loud & would just alert more zombies to my location.

Also, it depends on the zombies. If we're talking about slow zombies like the ones in The Walking Dead, I'm sticking with no guns unless I'm surrounded.

If we're talking fast zombies ala World War Z, then I'm just fucked, aren't I?

MACHETE.👍🏾

Lightsaber. But, if that's too fantastical, I'll settle for a pointy long spear.

If I can't get a lightsaber, or a flamethrower with an infinite supply of fuel, I was thinking of a Halberd.

A combination spear and axe, which gives you a longer reach than a sword. Wielded correctly it could behead zombies from six feet away, or at least be used to push them away, and I hope I could learn to use it correctly fast enough...

Nice weapon.

Or this thing, from the "Fellowship of the Ring" movie, which is basically a sword on a stick. I guess that's the production's idea of an elven spear.

It'd give reach and some great slicing power, and it'd never need reloading! Now I'd add a crossbar of some sort, to keep zombies from walking into the blade if they were stabbed. That's how medieval boar-hunting spears were made, because wild boards would actually run up the shaft of the spear and kill the hunters before they died themselves.

The first isn't pointy enough on the end. I saw the same issue with the girl in Walking Dead:World Beyond. She couldn't kill the zombie with her weapon because the tip was too blunt.

The second is good.

Lightsaber is best since strength isn't required and it won't get caught in the zombie's body.

Ah, but after the collapse of civilization there would be no TV or internet, and I'd have nothing better to do with my evenings but sharpen things!

But yeah, I think the boar spear is the way to go. It's got a nice sharp point, a nice long blade suitable for beheading, a nice long handle to give a horizontal swing some power, and the bar to keep a zombie that refused to die from walking up the shaft. And it's user-friendly and uncomplicated.

A veganized mountain lion sounds perfect zombie meat tastes good.

I've already got a 3 sword set modeled after the Highlander Katana (1 regular Katana maybe 30" blade length, 1 Medium length version about 24" length, and 1 short version about 16" blade). So come Zombie or Immortal, I am prepared!

There can be only one!

Great movie!

Holy/curative magic, but if that doesn't work, maybe a sword or something.
