I saw and felt a ghost…

I was laying in bed awake and my husband was in the kitchen eating breakfast. A few minutes later, I felt a tugging on my shoulder; I naturally thought it was my husband. I turned sideways and I saw a man standing there and I still thought it was my husband and the room turned very cold. I told him to turn up the heat and suddenly he was gone. I heard my husband placing his spoon into his bowl. I went into the kitchen and asked him if he was in the bedroom a minute ago and he told me he was in the kitchen this whole time and was going to say goodbye to me in a few minutes. I never told him what happened but for some reason, this incident did not scare me….

Not a ghost. Look into Havana Syndrome, No Touch Torture, V2K et al

reply

I don’t know why but instead of Awake I read Naked.

Can you change Awake for Naked please?

reply

She has a husband.

reply

Hum, strangely, my mind had blocked that word too. What’s happening to me!

reply

The ghost blocked your eyes.

BASED ON THE POST TITLE MY MIND WENT DIRECTLY TO THE FILM THE ENTITY.

"and the room turned very cold"

That seems to be a common occurrence in stories like this. I first heard of it when my mother told me about an encounter she had in the 1970s with what she believed to be a demon. The demon appeared behind her and spoke to her while she was knelt at the couch, praying. She said the room immediately turned cold. Since then I've heard the same thing in a lot of ghost/demon/entity encounters I've read about over the years. I've never had any such encounter though, so I have no firsthand account to tell.

Scientifically speaking, I'd like to know where the heat goes though. If that could be figured out, it would make for great air conditioning technology. I wonder if, in any of these encounters, there is any moisture found during or after the encounter. Such rapid cooling of the air should produce condensation (assuming it's cooled enough to reach the dew point).

reply

Yes, I wonder why areas become cold too when there is a spirit present. My friend who also had an encounter with a ghost said her bedroom became cold too.

reply

It was probably just a ghost or spirit. The entity appeared to you, you didn't even flinch, so you probably will never see it ever again.

If it was a demon, you would feel dread/evil all the time and there would be an escalation of events. You would experience disturbing phenomenon on a daily basis. All this due to the demon wanting you gone from the property.

reply

I heard about that too. If it something that scares you then, it is a demon. If it doesn’t scare you then it is probably an Angel.

I live in a very old house and the man who built it is buried just down the street in a small cemetery. Through out the years, everyone in my family has had some kind of experience except me with "the general" - until about 6 months ago I was in my bedroom when I heard my husband's voice call out to me from the next room. I went in and he wasn't there, but in another room that isn't even close. I asked him if he had called my name and he said no, so I'm not sure what happened. It really was strange.

reply

Wow, that’s creepy!

reply

I don't believe in ghosts but they believe in me.

reply

My best guess is a Hypnagogic hallucination.
