One thing I hate about miniature special effects

Splashing water. It looks like a splash in my bathtub, not a torrent of water.

Ditto smoke. Looks like the smoke from a matchstick, not a huge explosion.

Some movies should be fixed with CGI.

CGI has it’s place but so do practical effects. You can always use both in the same frame by composition.
