I just subscribed to HBOMax to watch The Batman.

I hope its worth the 10$.

I think they should have started the movie with a strong scene with him without the mask for the first 20 minutes. Its hard to invest in a movie without facial expressions.

I'm done. You guys have no idea what a good movie looks like.

reply

You didn't like it? Me neither. I honestly have no clue what the fuss is all about, for me it has very few things going for it. That's not to say it's completely terrible however it's a really flat and dull affair. A lifeless film. Dark and dreary looking, little emotion, no humor, middling action, not much tension or suspense and too long.

agreed. I once again feel like I'm the only smart person in the room. This is the best movie you've seen and Harry Potter Deatlhly Hollows is a kids movie.

Since apparently all of your posts are in General Discussion, you might want to check out the MovieChat page for The Batman (2022.) It is now 34 pages long, and likely addresses anything you have to observe or ask, negative or positive. https://moviechat.org/tt1877830/The-Batman

Moviebuff224 only posted in threads that he himself created. When he started a General Discussion thread on a specific question about Tenet, I also directed him to its MovieChat page. I told him that there was a whole world of MovieChat pages for any movie made, which includes the old IMDB posts here. (I wasn't trying to be mean, but informative.)

Moviebuff224 then started about five more threads, and has never posted on here since then. (I think he died from COVID-19 or finally got a girlfriend.)

He used to be Intotheshite, then became Pressplay, who morphed into Ticketsplease (sock watching Andy).

Spiderman No Way Home is better.

I guess i might as well alienate everyone on this site. This is total crap. There is no story at all, its just cool scenes and car chases.

If it helps any, your opinions are helping me to flesh out a more objective, realistic expectation on my part. Too often nowadays, the hype surrounding a movie is massively misleading and disappointing. Your comments are confirming that for me. You're obviously frustrated with your misspent $10 movie experience. My local library has become very good with current release DVDs being available within 3-6 months of the theater release. I can wait. In the meantime, I'm currently enjoying a free, 4-day preview of Showtime.

If it helps you. I think Joker is where we should be going.

reply

I've been following Batman since the earliest comics as a kid and the various incarnations of that character in film. If you want to get into the character of Joker, we can go there. I once read that Jack Nicholson fetched a hefty $50 Mil for his portrayal of that role in the 80s version.

reply

Not worth it... Spiderman was better.

reply

This is a waste of time. Joker was brilliance
