Stop referring to digital video on your fucking phone as “footage.”

Yep, just say video ffs.

Also I know they're just common colloquialisms, but people talking about 'filming' and 'taping' with their phones gets under my skin.

There's no f'ing film or tape involved. Just say recording!

I know the word recording is not specific to audio or video, but we can see when you're recording video because as I'm sure it is for much of your life, your f'ing phone is up in front of your ridiculous gawping face as you live your life as a f'ing tourist of reality!

Ok I got off track there. I'll have a beer and calm down.

Chomping at the bit.
It is supposed to be "champing". It is an old obsolete old English word from a couple hundred years ago.
"Champing at the bit" referred to a horse biting down on the piece of iron between its teeth. It eventually meant grinding your teeth in general whether horse or human. At some point people started incorrectly saying "chomping" instead of "champing". People have been saying it wrong for so long that the idiom became "chomping at the bit".

While it is incorrect, I don't know if people should necessarily stop using it. I actually do prefer "chomping". It sounds better to me.

Agreed, people who say that are the same type that used to see an item at the checkout without a price tag and say, "It must be free". Unoriginal dolts who think they're hilarious.

Just me but I wish I could stop saying shit - like I don't give a shit, that's a crock of shit, oh shit, etc. It's a bad habit and although I do have a colorful vocabulary, I certainly don't go spewing out obscenities in public or inappropriate places ---- with the exception of the potty word - and then sometimes, it just slips out.
