Best doughnuts?

Krispy Kreme, but Daylight Donuts is pretty good too, if you have one in your area.

My favorite doughnuts are from an independent doughnut shop near my home. They are the best doughnuts I have ever had!

My favorite kind are Custard filled chocolate topped Longjohns. Which where I live can only be bought at duncan donuts.

Small business owner near me. They use only fresh and natural ingredients.

Krispy Kreme: 5/10 Their glazed doughnut is good but all the rest are substandard. Overpriced and even smaller in size than everyone else. They owe much of their success to the name. It is pleasing and got free press from celebs simply because everyone liked saying "crispy cream"

Dunkin Donuts: 2/10 Hardly even a doughnut. Most of their fare is not even remotely doughnut shaped. I have had the displeasure of eating from this place at a few gatherings. Have not liked a single thing.

Winchell's: 6/ or 10/10 On average, they are just OK. But occasionally they rank among the best. when one finds a good store on a good day, they make the BEST french crular.

Swiss: 8/10 Best Apple fritter and generally high quality doughnuts. My go-to place among franchise options.

Private owned shop: ?/10 Sometimes the best but sometimes below average. I like to help support one and grab a couple dozen to bring to a PPV fight but there are consistency problems.

We don't have fresh donuts over here, so I'm happy with Dunkin' Donuts which has great flavours every few weeks.

They have this really cool Rube Goldberg looking machine with pots and conveyor belts and the doughnuts come out piping hot
