Boromir's guess the famous game #91 [Inejirō Asanuma is the famous person, nyctc7 wins]

1. I'm thinking of some famous person, it can be a film actor, a philosopher, a president, a prime minister, a singer, fictional character, mafia man etc.
2. You need to ask me a yes or no question about this person, for example, "Is the person still alive?," "Does the person work in the entertainment industry?," any question you can think of that helps you to reveal the answer. The host answers with yes or no only.
3. Maximum 1 question and 1 guess per player per answer.
4. The winner can either start a new game or say "pass." In case of a pass, the OP gets to start another.

Nyctc7 wins with Inejirō Asanuma, a leading member of the Japan Socialist Party and a personal hero of mine. Originally he had been more mainstream, but became disillusioned during World War II and retired from politics. Returned to politics after the war as a dedicated supporter of socialism. He was a strong advocate for the working class and critic of imperialism, who opposed the presence of US troops in Japan and advocated friendship with socialist China. He was one of the most charismatic Socialist Party figures, and throughout the 1950s the JSP's political strength grew. He became leader of the JSP in 1960, but was brutally murdered by a fascist later that same year. This threw the JSP into confusion and it never fully recovered, but steadily declined until it died out in the 1990s.

A famous and frightening photograph

The photograph of Asanuma's assassination won its photographer Yasushi Nagao both the Pulitzer Prize and World Press Photo of the Year.[2]

Yamaguchi was captured at the scene of the crime, and a few weeks afterwards committed suicide by hanging while in police custody.[1]
