I don't buy Nikes because they are too narrow and hurt my feet but not because they are "cheaper".
I will not read on tablets/kindles. The experience is different, and the eyestrain is real on backlit devices. Maybe if the develope a book sized color Paperwhite style reader I'd consider it, but nothing is like holding a physical book.
