Remakes you'd like to see?

I really want a It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Mad World/Cannonball Run type movie for the 2020s. I'm a sucker for motor vehicle stunts/humor and celebrities goofing off.

I would LOVE a Cannonball Run remake. There was talks of Doug Liman making one a few years back I think. Would love to see Tyler Labine as Captain Chaos, Sam Rockwell as JJ McLure and James Roday as Dr. Van Helsing.

I would also love to see a Sliders remake/reboot

A Sliders reboot with a decent budget and a bit darker. I’m in.

I would love a remake of a Cronenberg film, particularly Scanners or Videodrome.

I love period pieces - wish Forever Amber would be remade with all of the juicy parts included that never made it in the 1947 movie.

I first heard of that movie and Linda Darnell in 1988 when they were playing it on one of Ted Turner’s TV stations. I guess it was TBS. They were heavily promoting it but I really wasn’t into old films at that time when I was younger. But I really started to get into watching TCM about 10 years ago and a few years ago saw Fallen Angel with Linda Darnell and became more interested in her. But just the other day I was thinking it odd that I’ve never seen Forever Amber played on TCM.

I'd very much like to see a remake of Middlemarch. It was last done in 1994.

The Keep, based on the excellent novel by F. Paul Wilson. It deserves a remake.

remakes just show how bad modern society is, every decade has had it's own identity, the last 10 years will just be known as the "remake era" lets get the frasier cast back together, how about ET? maybe stand by me with black kids? how about ghostbusters with women? oh wait they already did that right?

I'm not against remakes or reboots. As long it's to give a film that wasted a good story or concept a second chance. If it's already good, then what's the point?

I'm gonna go with In Time(2011) with Justin Timberlake & Amanda Seyfried. Firstly, the leads have no chemistry. The acting isn't so great. Neither is the writing or dialogue. Also, It just turns into a different film like halfway through.

Good concept in my opinion. What a waste though.
