Only weed and though I no longer partake it was a fair and fun drug, I'd smoke it again if it were available
Marijuana seems to be non-addictive, you can not smoke it for weeks and hardly miss it but when you do a few tokes every album you spin or movie you watch is way more entertaining
Coke and that other stuff is way too hardcore
I grew up with guys that were involved with that bad shit...one guy died of a heart attack in his 30s, another was busted for distribution and a third became a gay male whore to supply his addiction
Apparently weed is legal here in New York but I don't see it for sale anywhere...if I came across it I'd probably buy some
My days of illegally buying and selling the stuff are long past...I'm only guilty of being a pretty boring person now...wife, kids and a mortgage does that to you😀
Most all of my friends have dabbled in drugs, and we all are fairly successful adults, many of us with kids, and we all still enjoy occasional letting loose.
Some people can have fun responsibly and some people can't I guess.
i'm a big proponent of the thoughtful use of psychedelics, & have used lsd and mushrooms quite a bit in my younger days. i don't know if i'll ever use them again, cuz (hopefully this won't sound like a wankerish thing to say) i'm not really sure i have anything to learn from them anymore.
but i absolutely encourage most people who are curious about such things to give them a try, with the caveat that if you have any concerns about your own mental stability or reason to think you should be concerned, you probably shouldn't.
i used to really love smoking a bit of pot or hash, then throwing on the headphones and zoning out for a while. both really did a lot for music, let you really dive into something in a way i never quite seem to be able to in my non-altered state. unfortunately, i found getting baked sort of put me in a depressive state as i got older, and that's something that i'd like to avoid, so i don't do it anymore. i'd like to definitely give it another go at some point.
i did coke a few times, and found it to be incredibly fun. like pure sunshine being injected into your brain. if the opportunity comes up, this is definitely the drug i most wanna abuse again.
This is how I feel about it. Certain drugs can be used in a thoughtful and enlightening manner.
Mdma is a great drug for people with ptsd, shrooms open up parts of the brain otherwise closed, hell even cocaine can be used in a positive way, although my experience on it was just great sweaty raunchy sex, which I guess was a great experience but definitely not enlightening.
I would say just steer clear of the bad ones which to me are crack, heroin and meth.
Some people can do a drug such as mdma or cocaine, have a great night, and go back to their normal lives. That's how my gf and I live our lives. We love mdma but limit it to 3-4 x per year.
But i also had a friend that overdosed on heroin.
Heroin to me is the one to avoid and never ever touch. The verdict seems to be in on that one.
When i use mdma i have an incredible time but the next morning I'm ready for normalcy again.
mdma is one that i missed out on. it wasn't widely available here at the time i was doing my experimentation. i'd very much like to try it at some point as well.
I'm not sure how old you are, but my brother is approaching 50, and his wife and him just took mdma Friday night. If you have the chance, I'd try it. It's by far my favorite harder drug.
It floods your brain with serotonin, I think it'd literally be impossible to not enjoy yourself on it.
I find taking with a partner to be incredibly romantic.
My gf and I really feel close to each other when we take it, even the next day we feel very cuddly.
Fine college basketball player, had just been drafted by the NBA, died of arrhythmia caused by cocaine. If a young athlete like that can be killed by cocaine, I figure that any ordinary person using it is essentially playing Russian roulette.
Marijuana and LSD. Like chilidoggg, I tried hash once and was unimpressed. But I haven't done any illegal drugs since my college years, and I'm in my late fifties now.
