I think with all of the restrictions on what we can and can't say people are searching for something to get angry about, perhaps they miscalculate and think everyone will get on board their protests?

I'm Australian but we have these kooks down here too. They go on about freedom but never consider anyone else's rights or freedom, like the right not to be infected by a contagious disease for example.
Even before CoVid we had Anti Vaxxers as well, people who think vaccinations are wrong etc. They seemed to be mostly from the Left. The CoVid deniers seem to lean more to the Right although our Extreme Left wing party down here are supporting both types of idiot.
