AMC
is in trouble.

I got emails from AMC and Regal today, saying they will both re-open next weekend. Some AMC theaters will have a 1920s price program, with US $0.15 tickets. (They make their money from concessions.)
sharethe movies might also be from the 1920s
shareThat US$0.15 price is one day only, Thursday Aug 20, 2020. Only a handful of theaters near me are reopening next weekend. Some will show Grease and another oldie and other films from 2019. One film brought back was released the week that they all closed, "Believe." The theaters are not all showing the same films.
shareI'd prefer to see a movie from the 20s with everyone dressed from that era, too. They could charge 20s era prices for the snacks, too.
