Do you like murder investigation shows?

I watch them in Spanish. There is a lot of these dubbed american shows on youtube and the copyright holder doesn't seem to care. I get to improve my spanish while hearing about the dark side of humanity.

The one thing that I notice about a lot of these stories is how normal many of them are.

Normal people leading normal lives and they think they can get away with killing someone, normally their wife/husband etc.

Yes.

You can download the ID APP for free and watch them free.

"American Monster" is one of my favorite shows.

reply

Yes!
I can't believe anybody could do any of that stuff but I really enjoy the serial killer episodes on ID Discovery channel

But I can only watch a couple of hours, then I need PeeWee Herman or something equally dopey as a 'pick me up'

reply

NO...THE WIFE VIEWS A TON OF THAT IN BETWEEN BRAVO NONSENSE...TWO KINDS OF GARBAGE I WONT BE HANDLING.🗑

Forensic Files /tt0247882. It's fun to see how a carpet fiber or a dog hair is the final piece of evidence that sends a murderer to prison.

reply

Yeah I like that show. Shame the cases are all so old though. The spanish dub is called 'crimenes imperfectos' which means, imperfect crimes, because they didn't get away with it. It's like a play on the term 'a perfect murder'.

reply

New episodes this year and cases from 2000s. Forensic Files II /tt11840612

reply

I loved the old show, but the new episodes are almost all cases I've already seen on other shows. They should do more obscure ones.

reply

It's just not the same without the original narrator, Peter Thomas, who passed away in 2016 age 91.

reply

I'd be okay with a new narrator, but the new guy sounds like he's drunk.

reply

Agreed!
That voice keeps you on edge

reply

Yes I do. I also liked court TV and watched the Casey Anthony trial from start to finish. And then there was OJ - but that was a circus.

reply

Yes, kind of addicted to them.

reply

are you talking about dramas or documentaries?

reply

I prefer murder mystery type movies... like the recent Knives Out, or any of the Agatha Christie classics...

I think there is huge scope for making new ones set in contemporary times...

I'm sure the real life versions are even crazier as you get people who think they can get away with things because they watched a bit of TV and overestimate their abilities...
