Independence Day (1996)

I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite movie, but it sure is fun and whenever I come across it on tv, I settle back and enjoy the ride

When I was a kid living on base ('65-'74) you stood for the pledge before the movie and clapped after. Seems a little odd now, but that's just what you did. I've seen MUCH stranger shit go on today. Anyway, when ID4 ended, it started kinda slow but eventually almost everyone stood to applaud.
Really surprised me. And took me back.

This is in my Top Ten.

It seems to get passed over alot these days. We don't see many "Everyone United Against A Common Foe" movies. Not back then and definitely not now.
Today some bleeding heart genius would get bent over treatment of the murderous invading aliens and call us xenophobes lol!

I have a top 25 but a top 10 has always been too difficult for me to finish. Always feel like I’m leaving something out. 😀

Great choice.

I just rewatched this the other night
Fantastic movie, great story

I watched it again Friday night and then found Judgement Day on Saturday. Two of the very best movies ever. I'm a Terminator junkie - probably have watched the original 50 or 60 times since 1984, when I first saw it at the movie theater.

I found T2 streaming for 4 bucks
