If you had to choose... 💲🐦

...between receiving a $1 million or being able to fly, which would you choose?

Me, I'd rather have the ability to fly. How cool would it be to be able to soar above it all, no worries, just enjoy the view from way up there??

reply

I'd put the million dollars into Amazon stock, currently at 2000$ a share. I've already doubled a small amount of money in it.

reply

I never thought of something like this, but financial security is good!

reply

Flying. You could attract so much attention and fame from flying you could easily make a million dollars.

reply

That's what I'm thinking.

reply

Yep honestly it would be so easy to do. Plus you have an ability many could only dream of. A million dollars is not forever and can run out if not careful.

reply

True. As has been said, a million dollars doesn't go as far as it used to. Dang, what I could do with a million...I could make it last, but then I'm not greedy or wanting to acquire "stuff" so I'd be okay. You read about lottery winners who are broke in a year or two because they go wild with their newly-won money. Why is that? It's as though they've lost their senses.

reply

I think a lot plays into why people go broke after acquiring that amount of cash. One reason is when you have not worked for something or been taught the value of work ethic you do not understand what it takes to make money. Since you do not understand the value of a dollar you are foolish with cash. Once you realize what it takes to earn something you tend to respect money more. You realize it is much easier to spend than it is to earn.

The other reason is people get an insatiable appetite. They go out partying, buy cars like Ferrari's and things like that. Personally I am not saying I would not buy nice things but honestly driving around fancy cars, partying, flaunting my wealth is not something I have an interest in. I guess I am a boring gal, as long as I have a good old Toyota Corolla or Honda civic and live in a nice neighborhood and am able to travel occasionally that is all I can ask for. My life would consist of working out as I do now, traveling, and doing volunteer work for the poor and disabled people.

reply

You sound like you have a lot of same values I do. Enough is enough. I don't need the monstrous house, yacht, fancy car, or whatever. I'm not trying to impress anyone. All that bling is pretty shallow.

reply

Well said. It makes me cringe when I see people going broke over stupid flashy things.

reply

Boy, is that true. People buying things not because they need them, but because they think it will impress someone. Pretty sad.
