"What? You haven't seen that movie?!"

We've all heard this. Someone so shocked that you haven't seen the same dumb movie they have. No, I don't care about some lame movie that is not even required viewing. And the worst is when you turn the tables and bring up some amazing movie that they've never heard of and they look at you strange.

reply

Cool story, bro.

reply

It surprises me when someone says they've never seen Star Wars (either one of the films new or old films) BECAUSE they play the films ALL THE TIME on May 4th on Star Wars Day and all the time on cable. And with Disney+ the films are on their so theirs no excuse. They either DON'T want to watch it OR they're just too lazy to watch em. It's just sad.

reply

My wife has never seen any of the Star Wars films and this is from a guy who has a set of ‘lightsaber’ chopsticks.

reply

Lightsaber chopstick? Now I've heard everything.

reply

It was a gift from a friend (honest).

reply

I would have believed you but putting "honest" in parentheses makes me question your honesty.

reply

It’s the sort of silly thing I’d buy, but it really was a gift.

reply

Some people just don't like Sci-Fi.

reply

It should be worn as a badge of honor to have not seen Star Wars.

reply

OMG no! Star Wars are classic films they are worth a viewing at least once.

reply

Not necessarily. I don't feel any more fulfilled in life for having seen them.

reply

I’ve only seen the first three. I can’t count how many times I saw the first one in the theater. After I saw it several times with my family there was always a friends parents bringing everyone.

reply

I saw the first one in 1977 and none since.

reply

My reaction just now was "What? You haven't seen that movie?!" re: The Empire Strikes Back.

reply

That's the only one of the trilogy I truly enjoyed.

reply

I have not

reply

Don't feel too odd..I've only seen the first one too...the 1977 version.
I've just never felt that enthusiastic about it all.

reply

WOW.

reply

that's usually the reaction.

reply

A lot of people are just not into fiction.

reply

Are too lazy LOL

reply

I have never seen Episode II, III because Episode I was so bad I refuse to watch it's sequels.

I skipped Episode VII at first as well, but when Rogue One was released I, out of curiosity, watched it in theater and I liked it. I then watched VII on DVD.

Expecting greater things I enthusiastically went to watch Episode VIII and man it's even worse than Episode I. I was so disgusted to watch anymore Star Wars movies. So I have never seen Solo and Episode IX and I may never will.

Call me lazy all you want, but for some of us they are the lazy ones.

reply

Rise of the Skywalker is worth a viewing it's such a great way to finish the Saga

reply

Did you miss the part that said I was so disgusted to watch anymore Star Wars?

reply

Oh yeah, sorry, my bad. I was just sayin it is a really good movie

reply

My brother and I have a running thing where if the other hasn't seen/heard/of something we do a cartoon double take, pull a wicked incredulous squinting, one eyebrow up, nostrils flared to inhale the fumes of one's own superiority, eyes rolled back, eyelids flickering, lips pursed with the corners curled up in a mixture of smug disgust, trying not to laugh at what kind of an idiot hasn't seen this, and go, "Hff... Heh... You haven't seen that? Kffpff... Uhhhh..."

reply

Why is their no like button? :)

reply

I don’t know but I give that beautifully descriptive post a 10/10 for sure!

reply

I twist balloons as a side business. Inevitably someone will hit me with the "Make me a bicycle" line. Imagine the looks on their faces when I say I've never seen the movie Wedding Crashers.

reply

You're not missing out on much. Wedding Crashers isn't very good.

reply

I think I turned the DVD off after 30 minutes or so. What a waste of time.

reply

You guys can always join me for Monty Python and the Holy Grail on IFC it's on at the moment of me writing this reply :D

reply

I had a black coworker in his 30s who said he never saw Star Wars and I asked if he knew the pop culture references and he said he didnt think so lol. I was all like "whaaaaaaat?"

reply

These days it's more a case of: "What? You DON'T WANNA see that movie?"

Recent examples:
Terminator DF
The Rise of Skywalker
John Wick 3
Avengers: Endgame

You reach a point where the mind numbing sameness of every franchise movie just turns you off...

reply

What? You DON'T WANNA see that movie?

reply

I avoid anything with the Marvel name attached to it. People can say what they want.

reply

JUST MEANS I DONT HAVE TO SIT NEXT TO YOU AT BLACK WIDOW.

reply

No, instead you're going to put yourself through Black Widow.

reply

LOL..MY DAUGHTER AND I ARE VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD TO IT...DAVID HARBOUR ESPECIALLY.

reply

I've never seen the Godfather. I heard it was good.

reply

It is. Not the greatest movie of all time, but it's good.

reply

I'll go along with that. Godfather you must see.

reply

I AM NOT A GODFATHER FAN...I FINF THE TO BE LONG,BORING AND DATED...THATS SAID BRANDO IS AMAZING IN PART 1 AND I FEEL EVERYONE SHOULD SEE PART 1 AT LEAST.
