Yeah these are all pretty bad.

Come to think of it, the only person I can think of who convincingly delivers these sorts of quotes is Dolly Parton. Perhaps it's the squeaky southern accent but when she says things like:

"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain" or
"If you don't like the road you're walking, start paving another one" or
"You'll never do a whole lot unless you're brave enough to try"

I just believe her. She's a feel-good guru.
