We’re so dead I’m taking a 2nd break. I wish they’d send me home but I’m here through midday. And it’s hard to send the person here through midday home early.
Sigh.
For the past four years I've been working the local County Fair, five days. The first three years I received significant overtime. This year I showed up in the AM worked until around 4-5 and they would stick someone else in my game. None of them worked out. By Sunday, they finally asked me to stay late and would I help with Tear Down. I said I would work the game (11-8, the other days in was until 10), but I wouldn't help Tear Down, (a couple extra hours). Instead of getting around 50 hours, I got about half that. The job is fun and I'm not as young as I used to be, but I didn't make near the $$ I was hoping to.
