I dropped in something a few days ago about Steve Goodman.
He and John Prine were close friends. If Prine is a "cult figure" I guess Goodman is an obscure folkie, which does not do him justice. Here's Arlo Guthrie telling a story about Steve:

On a tribute to SG album, Arlo's story includes a comment that the astronauts on the moon were awakened with this song.
As an aside he says (essentially), "Isn't that great? ... maybe not, I don't know but ...."
His claim of ambivalence makes me laugh. Maybe we shouldn't be on the moon in the first place, but whatever, there it is, haha.
