Rap/Metal!
Pretty good and a bit bluesy too
Maybe the first song where I got into furious Latin percussion being integral to any particular song.
This was close enough to Jazz by a Rock Band where I had my mind open to new innovations to what to expect.
From Santana's 5th studio album back in 1973.

And I'll toss in another from the same album, a guitar duo with John McLaughlin

Another one ! Obviously one of my favorite records. This is Love Devotion and Surrender, with multiple vocalists

Sorry for the overload but I love this album for all it's eclectic spiritual trippiness.
nyctc7 would love the Santana song, he's a big percussion fan
shareHaha. I sorta said Santana's 5th studio album, but left out the title. It's called Welcome, an all white cover with the title elegantly scrolled in an ascending diagonal across the front. All three are Santana and from the same album.
