What are you all listening to?

Seems like people aren't bothering to make even the smallest comment about the song they have selected.
I know sometimes I like to "surprise" with an unusual song and not have it labelled by my own introduction, but doesn't it feel a little rude to simply post a link without any explanation? And do it repeatedly?

Ha!
You, Vast and Froggy are giving me anxiety LOL😆

I can't keep up!!

Keep the hits coming:)

I just wanted to put a feeler out as to how others think about all these links being posted without any comment for why something is chosen. Simply posting a dizzying amount of personal choices doesn't make for much context.
But if that's the way people do things and it's cool with everyone, that's fine.

I'm cool with it but I admit to feeling a bit rude myself for not commenting on all of them...There have been thousands of posts and I'm trying to keep up but as you can see I'm failing miserably:/

Hopefully our posters are being exposed to good tunes they were unaware of

For instance Froggy has exposed me to some rap/RnB stuff I wouldn't have known about and VastUntitled has given
me an interest in Classic Country

Hownos and Sivagish are all over the map with their posts and that's fun too

See, this is why I like our effort here, I'd never hear a song like that because I'm locked in a Classic Rock/Heavy Metal vortex (my comfort zone)

Good song, Rockabilly style if I'm not mistaken
Thanks👍

I'm a big fan of Dave Edmunds and this happens to have the Stray Cats accompanying.
But it's also a rocked up version of a George Jones song of the classic country variety, and these types of remakes I'm always a sucker for. Emmylou Harris cranked out a ton of them which broadened my knowledge of Classic Country quite a bit, (kinda like cheating on my part). Nowadays when I hear the original versions of country songs I'm familiar with from pop artists, I enjoy them much more than if heard them "cold," so to speak.

This is one of those songs that would work really well on a movie soundtrack

The instrumentals could be used during key scenes in the film and the whole piece could play over the end credits

Nice, moody tune
