Toys from your childhood...

Which ones were your favorites? I loved my Dream Glow Barbie, my Care Bear (I had Love A Lot Bear) and my Rainbow Brite doll....

reply

My Barbie Dolls and Colorforms, I loved those things. My first Colorform was Miss Cookie's Kitchen. I also had a Mary Poppins one. Etch-a-Sketch was another favorite and of course Slinky.

Metal Trucks, Army Men and Civil War Men.

My lego things.

BB Guns
bicycles
Wiffle Ball!

reply

I don’t see toys here, I see two weapons and a means of escape.

reply

Good times😬

And prior to bb guns, it was cap guns, which after firing, were literal " smoking guns," leaving a residual smell of sulfur in the air.

And then there were the countless, joyous hours spent crawling in the dirt, playing marbles.

reply

I have a boy and must say, you can't find a cap gun worth a damn anymore, the cheap plastic abominations they sell now simply don't work

I'm phasing sonny into shooting now so we use the BB Guns often
He and I cut a man-shaped target out of sheet metal and tacked it to a tree in the woodlot out back
He's 11 and getting pretty good!

My first Barbie, Perfume Pretty Barbie. I only had one other generic Barbie, the rest were all friends and family.

You should see my collection of men I don't play with anymore.😉

reply

So, attic for discarded toys, the basement for discarded men, gotcha👍

I'd be afraid to ask what you keep in the shed!

reply

You can always come and check it out for yourself, of course. I promise it's nothing like Led Zeppelin's little tool shed!

reply

He-Man (and the Masters of the Universe)
G.I. Joe
WWF Wrestling figures (the tall LJN rubber ones)

reply

Different ones at different stages of my childhood. At first: dinosaurs. Then I moved on to Beast Wars transformers. And finally to Dragon Ball Z action figures.
