Annihilation was awesome. I'm going to check out Mute this afternoon. Still haven't seen Ex Machina. Have there been other sci-fi gems as of late worth mentioning? Putting together a binge-list.

This is not recent at all, but I love Alex Proyas’s Dark City, which, like Blade Runner, is sci-fi film noire. In the unlikely event that you haven’t seen it, please do.

Dark City is one of my go-to movies to watch to cleanse my movie palette after watching a truly horrendous movie. What an awesome film that movie is. .

Ex Machina is a great movie. Definitely in the cerebral category.
