Who the hell drives a manual anymore?

It's just so inconvenient in this day and age.

If I could find a good hybrid or electric car with a manual transmission, I'd be driving one now.

I like clutches, I like using them on mountain roads. Plus when they break, replacing one cost about a tenth as much as replacing an automatic transmission.

I think if you can shift properly it’s cheaper in gas too right ?

It can be, so long as you're familiar with what RPMs to shift for optimal fuel efficiency. I'm also in the habit of putting it in neutral as much as possible when city driving. That really helps.
