For what it's worth, here's my review:
Tuesday rainy afternoon, Iβm off because I worked Sunday so I decide to watch a movie with my recently retired father. I say The Shape of water. He says letβs watch an action flick. I say The Shape of water. He says ok. We watched it and Iβm glad we did. I loved the atmosphere, the cinematography and the ambiance which seemed to flow right along Jean-Pierre Jeunetβs waters. The acting, the actors (Shannon is my man), the story, everything was fluid and refreshing; I had a smile on the corner of my lips for 80% of the movie. But then again, that might have been my fatherβs scotch, the story doesnβt tell. 8-8.5/10

Fair enough. Here's my review:
That had to be one of the grossest and STUPIDEST movies I've ever seen! Stupid and ridiculous scenes one after
another. She got past security in a TOP SECRET Lab to feed eggs to a Fish Man?? M. Shannon character was comically stupid and cruel?? His fingers turn BLACK and he just puts a bandage on them??
Two cleaning ladies managed to smuggle the Fish Man out of the TOP SECRET Lab?? They filled the bathroom with water, and it didn't leak?? They f***ed?? Her friend's reaction to her f***ing the Fish Man wasn't "WTF is wrong with you, girl??" SERIOUSLY?? WTF??
And these are only the STUPID scenes I remember, since it's been a year since I saw it. I think my original review contained about 14 STUPID scenes. The only reason I watched this pos was because it was nominated for Best Picture. That's two hours of my life I'll never get back again! Total trash!

He liked it a bit less than me but he did enjoy it. Itβs mostly about the peculiar atmosphere and the quirky acting if you ask me. Thatβs what make it a Masterpiece. ( you want to call it POS? Iβll call it a masterpiece then :p)
