Has anyone really enjoyed a show, watched many seasons of it then stopped for whatever reason?

My most recent is The Walking Dead, a show I really love but it seems to have gone downhill and therefore I have had no motivation to watch it for the past year.

I wouldn't include shows where you've watched some of the first season and then ditched it, as I think that's pretty common.

Other shows I've stopped (not all for the same reasons and some i hope to catch up on/finish):

Bates Motel
Lost
Breaking Bad
Skins (UK)
Shameless (UK & US)
Gotham
Mad Men

It seems I abandon shows quite frequently... my bad.

And "New Amsterdam" and "Manifest" are both on thin ice. And yes, I know those are new shows, but I thought I'd just throw them in there.

Prison Break after they broke out of prison because, ya know, the show was called prison break.

My all time favourite show! Not to spoil the show or anything but they are in prison in 3 out of the 5 seasons. Season 3 and 5 are also set in prisons.

It probably sounds a bit ridiculous written down lol, I recommend the rest of the show though!

It’s been so long since I’ve watched this show, I would definitely consider rewatching all of it. I really enjoyed it for awhile, but I remember thinking it got ridiculous after a head in a box incident. I think that’s when I gave up.

Downton Abby. I was late to the show and since it was already on season 3 when I first read about it, I waited for the DVDs. I stopped after three seasons because at that point, I peeked at future episodes. Once I discovered that some of the situations were too similar to what had already happened to certain characters I decided I was done with it.
