For me...I like the alert system...post numbers(would love to see them count for something👍) and when zergnet has Marcia Brady at the bottom of the page...Marcia Marcia Marcia!!!
I like to share my appreciation (Or otherwise) of movies and television and read up on other people's too. The rich history which was kept from many boards is good for seeing opinion and sentiment change over time and the occasional expert or choice thread being made which brings either insight or community fun.
A search function within a discussion board, a friends list, proper formatting and other features could put MC to the top of anonymous online discussion within this field as discussion is being shutdown all over and Web 2.0 social media seems to be the push for conversing which I think is a bad idea.
There's a rich tapestry of people here and hearing their thoughts about all sorts of subjects is refreshing and occasionally enlightening.
I really enjoy my fellow posters...i cant say that ive ever seen another on-line community that was so kind and respectful...even our occasional spats are fairly reasonable and a few jokers aside, there is a lot of honesty here
(To be honest, i sort of enjoy a lot of the jokers too)

The vast pool of knowledge you all bring is another asset...ive watched and enjoyed a few movies id never heard of because of other posters suggestions
Pretty much every genre is loved by one or more of the regulars and its nice to know that some info or advice is available when looking for something new
The Trending feature is excellent...
And since you brought it up DF, i really do like and enjoy Croft...i speak to the guy everyday!
I'm seeing a lot of the same answeres...which is exactly what I hoped for! It's why I started this thread. It seems most love the same things. We've all been talking a lot about things that need improvement...and we all mostly agree with those items as well. I was wondering if we agreed on the positives too. And so far it is overwhelming the amount of like minded ness on both topics👍 which leads me to the belief that the members might be what is so special...as you mentioned first and foremost 😃👍 I've been saying that the sites most valuable asset is its members...I love being correct😉
