StoneKeeper's Summer Game: Guess a Movie #18 (Jacob's LAdder)

So you guys like to play games? Here is an investigation game that can be time consuming but it's lots of fun. Basically, I have a movie in mind and you have to guess which one it is. For each movie you guys are going to guess, I will give a hint that CONNECTS your guess with the movie I have in mind.

Example of connections: Actor, length, genre, aspect ratio, language, country, year, director, writer in common, rating, number of votes, nominations. It can even be something like: both movies involve a girl being murdered.

- The winner can either start a new game or say "pass". In case of a pass, the OP gets to start another one.
- After 12 hints, the point goes to the OP and he gets to start another one.

Good Luck!

Hint #1: The Graduate: Leading actor won at least one Oscar in his career.
Hint #2: Fantasia 2000: Imdb rating between 7 and 8
Hint #3: Ocean's Eleven (2001): Country: USA

Okay, I'll give it a go. Thanks for explaining how this works, since this is the first time I've clicked in. Fair warning: I suck at most games 😂

My guess is Fantasia 2000.

The key to this game is perseverence. I tell you I came close to discouraging myself a few times and a few others tapped out a few times too.
Just hang in there.

reply

Welcome to the game Catbookss! The more the merrier. :)

reply

Thanks, Kawada! I've just read through a couple of the other threads, and despite what Stoney said, I don't think hanging in is going to help me do anything but suck at this game 😂

reply

Well each thread is different, some are easier than others, depending on the movie and the hint. And you can always look through IMDb for ideas. It's a pretty fun game! It's gotten me way more active on the site than I was before, lol.

I love to have my asian friend around.

(I dont even know if your Asian but even if you aren't you'll still be my asian friend anyway.)

reply

No worries I haven't been able to guess one either. In fact most I haven't even heard of.

Nice way to learn new movies!

reply

They were totally unqualified to try the Hint of a lifetime... but every underdog has his day.
