Do you eat breakfast?

I know, yet another movie or TV related thread!

So, do you? If you do, what do you usually eat?

For the majority of my life I haven't been a morning person, and last thing I wanted to do when I woke up was eat anything 😬. But I liked breakfast food for late night suppers. Still do.

Now sometimes I do have breakfast. If I had a personal chef, I'd have eggs Florentine or Benedict, but since I don't, it's usually an egg or two and either turkey sausage of some kind, or Morning Star "bacon."

I'm usually not up that early.

some mornings cereal , others oatmeal- then others eggs , sometimes with fried taters(like mine with green peppers and onions)- hamburger patty or beef or turkey sausage once in awhile. Eat my eggs as an omelot or scrambled - like salsa, red or green on my eggs.

Oh, and of course , coffee,coffee,coffee !!

I love breakfast! I could eat it for every meal of the day.
I'll have coffee, a glass of water, eggs and toast or sausage if I have it. I don't do this every morning. Some mornings I have pancakes. Some mornings I have to work at 6:45 so I just grab a dollar biscuit or I've made something the night before and its already in the lunchbox. I always try to drink a glass of water first though, makes me feel so damn good.

If I had a personal chef..I'd have a buffet style spread. He/she would loathe me haha.

You stay very well hydrated! Good for you.

There is something very appealing about breakfast foods.

There used to be a place around here that had the best brunch buffets! Table after table of all kinds of brunchy delicacies. I've yet to have had a brunch that topped that one. You'd have loved it!

reply

I try to, I attempt to drink 72 oz jug of water every day. Don't always finish but the more I put in, the better I feel. :)

That sounds amazing! I would love to go. Where do you live if you don't mind sharing?

When I was younger my grandmother HAD to go out every weekend. It was just something we did. My mom, grandmother, brother and I would load up and head a few towns over and shop allll day. It was great and afterwards we would hit this buffet. Every once in awhile, it would be the breakfast buffet. I would pig out, at least two plates of food. Biscuits, pancakes, bacon, sausage, etc. Good times.

I'm glad you drink water.
Growing up, we didn't have much awareness about water. There were drinking fountains around, so we'd use them, but it didn't seem like we wee doing anything special -- just a sip of water.
And if you were working out hard, slugging down as much as you could stomach. (That's not good for you, but when you are a kid, you really don't think about it one way or t'other.)
We have great tap water where I live, and I'm very grateful for that.

I've realized how fuckin' great I feel after I drink a healthy amount. I wish I would have started drinking it when I was a kid and not at 30 though.

weekends only.

I've never understood how someone can't be hungry when they wake up,it's called breakFAST for a reason. We go 8 or whatever hours without eating,I have to eat before I go work or I can't function.

reply

Yes! Granola topped with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, mango slices, some banana, and milk. Yum!

reply

Yum, indeed.

I have a bowl of Raisin Bran just about every single morning, estimate 30/31.

reply

I love Raisin Bran. I just started wondering if it was giving me gas.

reply

Raisins will do that to you.

reply

They're a great quick energy snack and I don't recall them ever having that effect on me.

I know you've probably heard of peanut butter & banana sandwiches. My variation of that is on toasted cinnamon flavored waffles complemented by some peppermint tea. Seems to kick-start a winter morning just right for me.

reply

I have, yes. I like peppermint tea but have never been a big fan of waffles. I know, I'm in the minority. I also don't like maple syrup (Hownos, and other Canadians, please cover your eyes), and virtually everyone else loves it!

But I would like the banana and peanut butter parts :)

reply

Easy enough obstacles to get around. I don't use syrup; too much sugar.

reply

I agree, syrup is way too sweet.

Elvis' favorite!!!

reply

But The Elvis contained a generous amount of bacon.

reply

Ewwwww!

reply

Yeah, that's why he looked the way he did near the end of his life.

reply

Two terrible places to try to eat breakfast: McFood and Dunkin Nonuts. Salt meets fat.
