Good for you! Last night there was a work function at a theme park, and I’m new to the company and nobody from my sector was going, so I went alone. I entered and people were mingling and nobody spoke to me, I went and hid in the bathroom. When I got out everyone had gone to some stage, I sat in the stands and two girls said “are you by yourself?” And I said yes, and they said “come sit with us!.”
I was very lucky to find someone to chill with. We had dinner and drinks there. If I hadn’t have met them I would have headed home early.
