The Sopranos, the kid in question being AJ.

reply

The character started out great and then became an extremely annoying snowflake in later seasons , too bad.

rest in peace , James Gandolfini

reply

"I love it when a plan comes together."

Catchphrase on A-Team , most often spoken by Hannibal Smith ( rip , George Peppard)

reply

Underling: " _ , Chief."
Boss: " Don't call me Chief ! "

This bit was done on two old shows that I know of

reply

"The Adventures of Superman" for sure,,,and you're right about a second show, but, I'll be damned if I can drag it forward.

reply

correct

reply

Would the 2nd show be "Get Smart," tex? I don't think so, but, I'll toss it out there nonetheless.

reply

correct

reply

I recall Max referring to him as "Chief" but I just don't remember the "Chief" telling him not to. My old memory is gettin' faulty, tex.

reply

"I mean, sure he says he's a high school student, but I can say I'm a high school student."

"You are."

"Okay, but I can also say that I'm an elderly Dutch woman. Get me? I mean, who's to say I'm not if I'm in the elderly Dutch chat room?"

reply

It was her show,,,the song introducing that show contained the accusation that "A hot dog makes her lose control." Her son's character would someday be carried from a collegiate football field. His father worshiped the ground that "Tish" tiptoed upon.

Patty Duke

reply

Yep, the old Dukester.

[This actor] once goaded the Douglas, Kirk into a fist fight...a brawl ensued & KD was accused of breaking the rules & fighting with both hands. This fistfight would ultimately lead to the death of KD in this motion picture. "Archie Bunker" would be his killer.

[This actor] would move on from here & end up the hunted of the hunted on the small screen. Across this great nation he was pursued. He'd be run to ground finally in a two-parter that shattered the counters at Nielsen.

reply

Do not know the actor's name , but he had the famous role of the one-armed man in the TV series , " The Fugitive. "
Yes , Carroll O'Connor played the truck driver who ran over KD's character in " Lonely Are The Brave "

reply

Got it, tex! Good sleuthing, my fine fellow.

reply

Well , it is a great film in my opinion and I consider it Kirk's best. - have seen it several times.
The final scene is really heavy and sticks with you . I always remember " Archie " driving that truck.

" The Fugitive ( TV series ) was always on at our house when I was a kid growing up.
Never knew the actor who played ' one-armed man '
Now , in the computer age , I can still never remember his name- even after I have looked it up.
But , of course you instantly recognize him in the bar scene , if you were a big fan of the old Fugitive TV series.

reply

Big fan of The Fugitive, but, not as a youngster. I got into it about 30 years ago when A&E aired it in consecutive order. They'd have an episode in the morning, then an episode in the afternoon, and right after that one they'd repeat the episode from the morning. It was a great set up.

reply

We'd never miss it

Fine television. The locations were just amazing. He was wanted said the posters=

Interstate Flight
Murder

The one episode where he goes back home to help out his father in-a-law. There is a bank book that his wife had and had stuck in a book, or, something, not important. He goes back there and the young sister of his dead wife is still in love with him. The family is knocked from their mooring. No damn wonder. His MIL is grieving over this lost daughter and is listening to recordings of her. It just depicts the loss that a family endures when violence has loitered them. It is an incredible episode.

---

Same when they had the episode of his father being ill. Richard goes back home and finds the family at crisis. How else would this family be, tex? It's an accurate assessment of ground zero in reality. The brother is bitter and resentful that his life has been altered because of this killing. The sister is trying to keep the family in one piece, but, has to hide Richard from her children, his blood relatives. The father is played by Brian Keith's father and he does an outstanding job. He's ill and fragile, but, is buoyed by his son's return. It's a touching episode. The sister/same actress will also be attendance at the end when Richard is cleared.

---

You damn rights you never missed it, tex. It was something very special. It was a superlative creation & the network saw it through to the end...& then ended it. Didn't leave it lay there to become exploited & derelict. No. No way.

You got it, you big, beautiful colaradotex, you. The Saturday evening Direct Hit goes to you, tex. You saw 'em all...& all of 'em at charter issue...

This long time veteran actor took this series and made nothing into something. He and his grandson searched the West for his son, the boy's father.

He'd repudiate anyone's doubt of his veracity with a gun thus:::"No brag, just fact."

20 years earlier he'd been with Wayne & Clift when they struck out for the North with a herd.

reply

Sounds like Walter Brennan in "Guns of Will Sonnett " or something like that - I didn't care for it but had friends who liked it and it was a well - known series

reply

Yep, that's it. I wasn't wild for it as well, but, you're right, it had a niche audience.

Lol , I really enjoyed the writing on this show. I thought it was well cast and the acting was great.
