The internet

Allowing me to listen to the news while polishing my motor bike.

Lets me listen to Steinbeck's Cannery Row while weeding in the garden.

Makes it possible for me and my kids to find "that song" from Back to the Future 2 while eating lunch ("I can't drive 55").

Lets me listen to chapter one of The Lord of the Rings while sunning on the porch.

Sweet wonderful internet! What blessed times we live in.

I hate motorbikes

reply

How about bikes with a motor?

reply

If you mean a motor attached to a bicycle, then yes.I saw a man with one yesterday, actually

reply

So you dislike motor bikes but if a motor is on a bike then you like it. Thats just freaky deaky man. It reminds me of a famous Seinfeld quote.

I love carrots, but I hate carrot soup. And I hate peas, but I love pea soup.

Shooting the Pellet Guns off the sunny back deck right now...Spring might finally be arriving!

What kind of Cycle do you have?

reply

Just a Suzuki Marauder 800 but I love it.

Pellet guns are nice I agree. Definitely a sign of spring and summer!

reply

Thats a sweet ass bike!
Nice dude

Only the invention of A/C tops it.

@Culburn:
I agree wholeheartedly! Dear Lord, being from the sunshine state (also at times referred to as the “Humbug State”....humidity & bugs, but now desperately needs rain) I have thanked God many, many times for one of man’s wonderful inventions! Before we had AC it was so much fun getting ready for the prom, graduation, later for my wedding! There should be a greeting card denoting the joy of being pregnant without AC! Of course I’m being facetious.

There was a time I wish I could forget. We decided to drive from Central Florida to Key West. Back then we didn’t have AC in our car. As luck would have it (there’s always been a black cloud hanging over me) we got stuck on the 7 mile bridge for several hours! It was my belief it was the gateway to hell! I now live in south Mississippi where the conditions are similar; therefore the need for AC is a necessity.

I've never been to the hell you've obviously been thru, kap. I thought I'd been, but, not after reading your accounts. Your scars run deeper than mine.

Bless your heart, fellow.

reply

That's no "fellow". She's a Lady!

reply

Regardless, Margo, she's, you are my fellows.

Oof!

reply

You as well dear☺️

I couldn't imagine hearing Cannery Row.

Doc is Doc and not some other person's voice no matter what!

reply

It does take some time getting used to I agree.

I find that sipping a beer milkshake helps though... I’ve got a bladder complaint you see... "Bipalychaetorsonechtomy" the doctors call it.

One of my favorite things is showing my daughter music from the 70s/80s on Youtube. Today we listened and sang along to Outfield - your love. She said I love this song and did the cutest dance sitting next to me. We also get to play old NES games together and look up copycat recipes from our favorite restaurants. hashtag blessed.

reply

It's nice to hear, thewaitress! In a similar fashion I use youtube to show my kids the Amiga and Commodore 64 games I played in the 80's.
