If only I can ask today at least ONE fella, a lot of whom I am friends with on Facebook, what was really wrong with her?

reply

Kids are mean and stupid. You dislike someone because your friends tell you to dislike them.

The thing is, over a year or so later after that incident, when I wasn't even involved or anything, I overheard two boys talking about that girl and someone else who fancied her, and they also went "Ewww" altogether, I STILL didn't fully get this aspect.

I mean, there were some or other girls looks wise no better or much worse either, if that's what we are talking about, that no one really complained about at all, but in that case.

reply

I even thought at the start everyone DID like her, lol.

reply

What do you expect from teenagers? If you are different from them, then you'll be treated as a freak,no matter if you are a boy or a girl

reply

What age are we talking about here?

reply

15 soon to be 16.

reply

I feel bad for you man.

reply

there was almost certainly nothing wrong with her. she was probably a perfectly nice, lovely person.

school years, really all the way through from k to 12, are a relentless grind of viciousness and cruelty. people are judged in the most petty, condescending ways.

i suppose it works well for some people, and it should be there for those people, but my school years were a nightmare, and i certainly wish i never had gone through any of it.

reply

It doesn't take much for kids to judge others harshly. She probably had the wrong shaped ear lobes or something.
