Anyone enjoy frozen dinners?
What kind?
I really enjoy the Chili's at home frozen ones. Especially the pasta Alfredo.

I haven't eaten frozen dinners in years until the last few months.
I've found some Japanese noodle and Pan Thai noodle ones that were actually really good.
Even comes with an egg roll.
I may have to expand my horizons a bit.
I've never been a fan of anything frozen (other than ice cream), but they really have improved the quality of frozen dinners in recent years. Marie Callendar's pot pies, Boston Market's Swedish Meatballs with noodles and a few others aren't bad items to keep in stock for emergencies.
shareIt's true.
They seem to have some of the same old ones as when I was younger but it looks like
there isn't much that's not available frozen.
I feel like there's a whole new world opened to me.
I may never cook again!
I'm curious, dewey. Do you have Schwan's available where you are ? I used to be one of their route salesmen and about half of my customers were people just like you, out in the country. They were also some of my best because they would really stock up between visits. It's some of the best quality frozen food available and it comes right to your door.
shareWe do.
I grew up with Schwan's. Mostly just ice cream that I can remember back in those days.
When my family was still around we actually had the Schwan's guy come every two weeks I think it was.
Always a big deal when he showed up.
Even back then I do remember the frozen meals being very good.
Some of the things were actually just amazing.
Now that it's just me and I've moved a couple times I just never ordered it again.
I joined Costco last year and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of their food.
It's been over 10 years. I may have to look into Schwan's again.
Man, Schwan's takes me back. My grandmother worked the graveyard shift when I was younger & discovered Schwan's through a work friend. It was awesome! She would stock up too, weeks worth of food in the fridge/freezer.
shareMany of my products would just simply sell themselves since most of my customers had their favorites that they would reorder.
A perk for us drivers was getting to sample any new product in the depot before going out into the field to pitch it.
We tried so many things. Mostly easy stuff that we could cook ourselves. I remember amazing corndogs and some kind of cheesesticks.
You got a favorite product?
They Chili's line is quite good. I like the Bacon Mac n Cheese and the Pepper Jack Mac n Cheese.
shareI shop at Trader Joe's in California, and buy their Burrito Bowl, Chili Relleno and a couple of others, like Chicken Masala, and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Yum!
shareTrader Joe's rocks, although I've never tried their frozen dinners. I love their salsas and they make a jalapeno pepper hot sauce that I would carry around in a holster, if it were socially acceptable.
shareI kind of like the cheapest of the cheap, Banquet and Michelina's. I'm a simple kind of man.
shareI love frozen stuff in a pinch
Fries and tater tots, chicken pot pies, chicken wings, big doughy/heavily salted pretzals, most of Swanson's and Marie Callendars items...sometime you get home too
late from the job to prep anything...frozen stuff is a lifesaver once or twice a week
I like frozen vegetables when I can't have fresh. I also enjoy Seasoned French Fries. I like the pot pies I get at Aldi too. Excellent crust and delicious chicken/vegetable fillings. I believe it's Bremmers Chicken Pot Pies. They beat out Marie Callandars any time.
By the way, Ted, nice to meet you! I see that you arrived here just today. Do you like it here?
I hardly see any frozen dinners anymore, except for pizzas. Nowadays it's all fresh from the fridge.
share
Not really.
😎
Some of them are very good and easy and fast to make. Really like Swanson Turkey dinners.

One of my favorites was Banquet Roast Beef dinners for one dollar. But they quite making their roast beef dinners several years ago.
