Things that only happen in movies, not reality

List things that never occur in real life. I’ll start.

1) a small yank on a necklace/chain will remove it 1st go
2) swords make metal on metal sounds when removing from leather scabbards
3) cars go airborne and flip when rear-ending other cars
4) computers beep constantly as you use them

people of a non-English speaking nation, speak to each other in English.

reply

That’s a great one. And they speak very good English when they do as well. Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story is funny for sometimes having them speak a little Chinese to then full scenes in English among Chinese speakers.

reply

Actually, it is a good ploy for movies. They are trying to show that these guys are actually speaking Mandarin but for movie purposes we are giving you it in English so that you don't have to read the subtitles. I like the movies that do this instead of non-English speaking nation actually speaking English.

this is one i think that bothers a lot of people

Woman don't grow hair on their legs or armpits even in desperate survival situations and don't have periods.

reply

I've noticed that men wake up with no stubble.

reply

I hate both of the above situations. The least they can do is give a guy a stubble and women to be without makeup.

17) Xerox machine repair guy engage in oral sex with hot female executive wearing strangely slutty 80's business woman attire to the sounds of some German disco band, 45 seconds after they first meet.

This is a funny site. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in years:

They're right about helicopters getting hit. Bad guy? It blows up. Good guy? It smokes, loses power and allows for an escape.

People having sex half-covered by sheets while the woman is still wearing her bra.

reply

This reminds me that the sheets in the movies are L shaped where it only comes to the waist of the guy but covers the breasts of the woman.

reply

Another one before I forget.

When the lights are switched off, the room goes strangely blue and you can actually see everything in the room.

reply

Lol! Yeah, the moon light is great in movie world.

If someone tells you during a phone conversation to look at a specific channel, the segment then starts when u come along.

reply

Yes!

"Turn on channel 3, quick!"
Turns on TV.
"Police are responding to calls of a fire at ..."

I've only seen one movie that made TV a little more realistic and that was Cobra, where there is a toys r us commercial before the news started.
