Newhart had arguably the best series finale ever, tying it right back in to The Bob Newhart Show. Completely inspired, and evidence that it is possible to do something that is brilliant, accessible to the masses, family friendly and hilarious all at the same time. Tremendously difficult and rare, but possible. We can all take a lesson from that.
And how few and far between are such examples? Exceptionally.

I feel that rewatching shows too much, kind of ruins them. The only shows I own on DVD are Fawlty Towers, Blackadder and The Storyteller. It's easy, though, to just catch a rerun of sitcoms like Friends or The King of Queens because the episodes are short and stand alone, but even those get tiring after a while.
