Star Trek or Star Wars?

Star Trek

reply

Star Trek TOS by far but I like Star Wars. I fail to see why I should have to take a side like Chevy or Ford. Even there if money were not so tight at present it would be a Chevy truck and Ford Mustang. Getting back to ST there is so much to like for me. Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, and down the line. Klingons, Romulans, superior aliens such as the Organians and Metrons. Morgan Woodward as a bug-eyed Dr. Van Gelder. William Windom as the tragic Matt Decker. Two live episodes of Barbara Babcock who was considered one of the most beautiful actresses of the 1960's. Ted Cassidy in a live role and a voice over. An ascending Clint Howard before he was simply known as Ron's brother. A lot of the music I was not into as a kid but the music has grown on me over the years because it is not generic unlike Trek's descendants. I could go on and on.

Both. They each bring something different to the table.

Babylon 5

Babylon 5 or the Next Generation?

reply

B5, which doesn't say anything at all negative about TNG. Patrick Stewart was in every way better than Shatner. I loved Brent Spiner. But the show could not match the great big B5 spiders who turned out to be The Shadows. They were, to me, even sexier than 7 of 9. I'd rather pork 7 of 9, but giant spiders are more metaphysically sexy.

reply

Meh, I was never really into that show.

reply

Neither.

I only saw Return of the Jedi. I went on a date to see this movie at the theater with this really good looking guy who was so into it. I had no clue what was even happening but I was very bored with the movie - but thrilled to be on that date!😁

Which she begrudgingly donned --- only to find that in the meantime he had slipped into his Ewok costume.

When she entered the bedroom she was shocked to find that she and her date had company. Apparently, her date had invited a few of his friends over. And to her date's supreme annoyance they were all wearing Wookie costumes. You see, earlier in the evening, her date, and his friends, had decided they would "all dress like those 'Star Wars bears'." Only her date had thought they were referring to the Ewoks whereas his friends thought "'Star Wars bears'" was in reference to Wookies ... awkward.
