How do you figure the connection?
The people who did the lynching were already dead by the time the tornado happened. If that is God's idea of punishment, he needs a better secretary because he's really disorganized and late on his assignments. I guess he's pretty busy but still, for an all powerful being, he needs to shorten that gap between sin and punishment.
And I think that area is " tornado alley" already and they get them all the time. The 1953 one was just a bigger one. There is no god. Tornadoes happen there all the time and unfortunately lynchings happened a lot in the past too.
If there was a god he should prevent the lynching from happening instead of killing a bunch of innocent people in a tornado 40 years later.

ok the lynchers MIGHT still be alive but they might not live there anymore. Plus the tornado prolly killed a lot of black people too; so it is very inefficient and lazy "vengeance".

Punishment needs to be swift and precise, not 30 years later and sloppy and vague.
