shareMedical reasons will keep me at home but my ideas of vacations are going to amusement parks with the best rollercoasters. It's been a while but I love Cedar Point and Kings Island. The Beast is my kind of ride. I could stay on that thing for hours upon hours, non stop.
shareRollercoasters!! Yikes! If I had to ride 'The Beast' or any other coaster fro hours, I would develop "medical reasons" that would keep me home. LOL
For now, financial reasons (and a bunch of pets) keep me at home. My idea of a great vacation is someplace warm and sunny with lots of museums in walking distance from my hotel (which has great room service and an indoor pool). Maybe some day...

Yes, my pets are another reason, too. I'm kinda a homebody anyway. I'd rather have friends over and play board games, grill outside....

Just happened to take a look at this Vacation question, and to my surprise and delight, there you were!!
I thought you gave up on this place. I am mostly posting on Bewitched, I Love Lucy, The Dick van Dyke Show and a few of the current sitcoms like blackish and The Big Bang Theory. Those were the shows I always liked to post on at IMDB before I got mired in politics. The View board does seem dead. Wonder who the "pee-ster" is torturing these days? ha ha Bet he "misses me terribly".
You can find out where I am by just clicking on my name and seeing my posting history. That's what I just did with your name. Seems like we haven't crossed paths because we've been discussing different topics. I also post on different movies or shows when they come up in the trending bar. Sometimes I notice an old show or favorite movie and get the urge to join in the discussion.

Cuba is a cheap vacation, flight hotel, food and booze in september. Around 700 -900 canadian, sometimes cheaper. Thats for 7 days.All included.

Yes, I guess you could ask me the same question! I don't post very often (I do it in spurts) but I've been here since just before the IMDB boards shut down. I usually just read this board but once in a while I look through other ones although I can't remember posting on very many. I don't visit all the time because the traffic is not that big yet and I can catch up on what threads I'm interested in pretty quickly, even if I don't add to the conversation.
I will click on your name and see what you are discussing. I'm not a Lucy, Dick Van Dyke, blackish or a Big Bang Theory fan so I probably won't read those boards. I grew up watching Bewitched so maybe that one. I was more of a Munsters, Gilligan's Island, Honeymooners, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Leave It To Beaver, Wonder Years, Three's Company, Twilight Zone, Night Gallery kind of fan.
I remember just before the boards closed, there was another message board I would read and the "pee-ster" as you call him, and his minions were all gathered there spewing their usual garbage but a few weeks later you had to create a username just to read anything. I didn't care to create one and haven't been there since. It was a one way street with the discussions and they had no one to argue with. Same stuff being hashed over. Maybe since then they found someone to play with. I really don't care.

Oh I love The Munsters! But no one has been posting there. I also love The Honeymooners. I have the classic 39 episodes. One of the funniest shows ever.! I started a thread three months ago and finally got two replies the other day!
I'd post more if someone would answer. It's no fun talking to yourself! (I do that enough when I am off line! LOL)
I just posted something on the Leave it to Beaver site. It seemed kinda lonely there and people wanted some feedback. I LOVE The Twilight Zone, just posted there today. I have several books about the show and I never get tired of watching it or discussing. it.
Haven't watched Gilligan in years but there were some good questions, so I made a few posts there.
I didn't know about the site where the "minions" are gathered. I'm guessing it was less discussing and more bashing. They had a mutual admiration society going on at IMDB. I DO think they miss having us to argue with. How much agreeing with each can they do? ha ha

How do you have financial trouble, yet you are at a hotel? Do you live in a hotel? That is so cool! I wish I could find a job that would allow me to live inside a hotel!
