It's a great channel for movies, non-stop. When I mention this to people in real life, they think "old movies" but they play a lot of newer movies, foreign movies (Fassbinder), they'll have some real far out movies. Also, they no longer edit anything - they'll show nudity, cursing, and they play some pretty far-out movies... They have a ton of themes that everyone in here would like... They also play a lot of movies that are out of print, some that haven't been distributed, some things I could never find online, thrift shops.

Do you guys watch this channel? For those outside of the US, you can watch movies online, and then if it's still a problem, you can always get an IP program.

Yes, I have this channel in my lineup and keep an eye on it. I almost watched a movie on there this morning.

I used to have it a long time ago, and it suddenly disappeared. Maybe there was a broadcast license issue or something like that. But it was a pretty cool channel.

Did you mean we can watch TCM online? If so, where?

I have been praising TCM for years. They were showing classic films in their original aspect ratios long before the rise of widescreen TV's. Best of all, they're uncut and commercial-free. It seems to be designed by intelligent people who take seriously the art of film. TCM's collaboration with the Criterion Channel is the new streaming service Filmstruck. It sounds ideal for people who care about film, but unfortunately Filmstruck is still only available on limited platforms and I've read there are frequent problems with buffering. Once they get the bugs worked out, I might replace Netflix with it, as I grow rather tired of Netflix's ever-dwindling supply of watchable movies in favor of their original content, 95% of it of zero interest to me.

Remember, Ted Turner was known as Captain Colorized, the guy who liked to turn black-and-white (actually, grayscale) movies into COLOR. Philistine.

I agree with you... Luckily, I don't think I saw any colorized movies on TCM.
