It feels good being in a lifeboat
Takes a lot of the pain away, I mean here I am seeing familar faces posting and if you imagine hard enough it's like the boards never went away!

sharelol this is exactly how I feel now. I was sort of panicking for a while when the boards shut down but luckily I found this site.
shareDitto. An Oasis.
shareReminds me of having a cup of coffee and folks joining with me at the table for conversation.
shareIt's interesting, because while I don't see some of the regular users I admired before, the quality of these posts match theirs : ) Same merry-go-round, just different horses. Haven't ventured too far onto individual boards yet....am just waiting for the relocation TREMORS to stop!
shareLol same here with the new vibe :o

Exactly what I was thinking. β¦ Is this the same name you used on The Boards That Shall Not Be Named? If so, I think I might remember you, or someone with a very similar name. Not sure.
It was cookiela2001 : )
When we were...over there.
Yes, it IS you!! :D
shareHi'ya!!!
share*waves* Was your avatar a cookie? Looked like chocolate chip :)
share(smiles with feigned self modesty)
Oh you remember that? Why yes, it was.
Although I also considered (the) Cookie Monster, when some posters started calling me that.
The funniest was when some uppity, exasperated Joan Crawford fanboy said something like, "Listen, cookiela2, or cookiewhatchamacallit, or WHATEVER the hell your name is...!" I laughed, because it WAS an awkward handle.
The best was actually when that poster started accusing me of being drunk, and calling me crocky instead of cookie : )
.
I'm kinda digging it really. I thought I'd be a sad, lost, wandering little message board freak writing stuff down and shoving it into people's faces on the street desperate for discussion, but....this place has been pretty awesome, with equally as awesome posters. The whole DIY feel of it has been really great to see and be a part of as well.
Once it's fully built and what-knot, it'll really be a board, "of the people," so to speak (over-dramatically) :P

shareI'm loving it too. It's pretty basic so far but it definitely has promise, a nice community building up here, with just a few trolls so far. I love how a lot of the old posts have been saved and brought over here, it's like a replica of a lost world that can still be rebuilt, provided enough people learn about it to make the voyage over here.
EDIT:
Hey, we now have an edit button too! Yay! :D

shareMy sentiments exactly! π
