Queer as Folk
Worth watching? Saw it was available on Netflix thought I'd give it a go. What do you folks on here think of it?
Peace!

I thought it was a great show back in the day (2000-2007) when positive realistic portrayals of gays and how they live their lives was never shown before, other than in a stereotypical "Boys in The Band" context. It may be a bit dated but was a very well-written and acted program.

I see, I plan on watching it after finishing season 2 of "American Horror Story"
Peace!
Queer as Folk has LOTS of great moments!
It's actually a remake of a British series by the same name. The British series lists as 2 seasons, but it's 8 episodes for series 1 and series 2 is 2 episodes that I believe ran originally as a single movie later split into 2 episodes. Although there are similar charactrs they have different names.
I'm actually watchig the Brittish version on Netflix, I might try the US version later. I found it funny how the captions sometimes were unable to catch certain British phrases, and wrote them as "INADUABLE" lol. I've only seen one episode so far but I thought it was interesting. I'm a big fan of "The Wire" and seeing Aidan Gillen on "Queer" was really cool, he is an excellent actor.
Peace!
Omg. I LOVED it. I'm straight ( also a woman) but I do like "gay" TV shows. There is drama, sex, sadness and hot guys lol. I do hate it tho ( in general) how there's no problem with seeing a naked woman on screen, muff and all but its taboo for men to be fully naked and IF they are, only their asses are showing.. I'd like to see more full frontal haha.. Anyways, QUEER AS FOLK was a great show. I watched all 5 seasons continuously because it was really addicting.. Shame is went off the air :'-(
shareIt was on Netflix for a while and just when I decide to give it a go its removed :(
US or UK? 'Cause I don't know if they still have the British version up or not, but they definitely have the US version right now.
I've only seen the US version but I thought it was pretty good.

I started watching the UK version and then it was gone :(
