...and in fact I didn't even know about them until I saw the word in a crossword puzzle I was doing this morning.
Anybody here ever had them? I guess they've been around since 1950, and they even went through a couple of name changes over the years: Corn Pops, Sugar Corn Pops, Sugar Pops, Pops, and back to Corn Pops.
Don't mess with me, man! I know karate, judo, ju-jitsu..... and several other Japanese words.
I also had Sugar Pops and Sugar Smacks as a kid.
Funny how they had to PC their names to Corn Pops and Honey Smacks. They didn't change the cereal at all, just the name.
Basically puffed cereal coated in sticky sweet stuff, probably corn syrup.
I don't eat sugary cereal anymore so i have no idea if they even still make this stuff. Occasionally i will buy a box of froot loops or apple jacks to eat dry as a dessert alternative, but they basically have no flavor except for sweetness. I can't believe i actually used to like this stuff.
