I think part of the problem is people seem to have trouble distinguishing the difference between having pride or enthusiasm for oneβs culture and heritage, distaste for aspects of foreign culture (specifics usually needed), and outright prejudice or discriminatory behavior based on racial hatred.
Thatβs three different mindsets or worldviews. Allow me to elaborate.
As I have often done before, let me use the poster, Keelai, as an example. She has been outspoken in taking me for a MAGA white supremacist even though I actively campaign for Joe Biden and the Democrats.
This tells me that she and her Polynesian immigrant friends in NYC are, yes indeed, probably racist against whites. You see, to them, having more pride for the accomplishments of 20th Century white America (such as Apollo moon landings) than you do for the establishment of some urban Chinatown is practically the same as marching in a tiki-torch brigade and looking for blood.
We can all appreciate the melting pot nature of the USA, but lets face it, the peak of our civilizationβs accomplishments so far have been dominated by Americans of European ancestry.
Watch the movie, The Right Stuff (1983) about the early days of NASA. Joe Biden was fully an adult during much of that time period, though not in government. If you think his Irish Catholic ass was less enthused about the Space Program than he was about rice-paddy farming or Easter Island nonsense, then you are delusional.
He fully embraces the culture of American exceptionalism, which is founded in imperialist genes of whites. Iβm not gonna lynch you, as rednecks of the past may have, but youβre lame compared to us, bulk minority-population. You are, sorry. Enjoy living in our country, continue to prosper and perhaps youβll learn a thing or two.

Are people just following the lead of cable news and youtube personalities? Because thatβs fake news entertainment. The stories are often real, and of course, doing the rounds on all the news cycles. However, itβs the way they peddle it all which is divisive and designed to cattle the population into the dual camps of our two-party system.
Maybe the problem is people donβt read newspapers anymore. They have no exposure to anything remotely resembling straight journalism. Thus, our slide towards authoritarianism.
2/3. Which brings us back to the notion of thinking. Does anyone actually want to discuss policy? Both parties (and others) put out platforms to signal stances on dozens of issues that are not always stressed equally.
Now I for one donβt give a hoot in hell about abortion. Or guns. Or porn. Or religious observance. Lets say a POTUS and majority working manβs Congress representing the values/polish of a Bernie Sanders-type are voted in and assembled. They will actually pass some significant and meaningful legislation without obstruction for half a dozen years. And they have a responsible and respectable posture with regard to foreign policy to boot.
This would be my dream come true!
So, why would it matter to me if that leader porked a porn star while married and paid her off? Or is lax on gun control? Or is against abortion and stem cell research? Or deports a lot of illegals? Who cares?! Those things are gonna blow to-and-fro pretty much dependent on the national mood anyhow as the decades pass. For those with kids, parent them right and family values will emerge regardless.
Iβd prefer to have a less scandalous politics, sure, but the only way to get that is to tell everyone you know that you donβt care about scandal and you vote based on enacted policy and poltical strategy. Simple as that.
3/3. Am I seriously the only Democrat who can admit that Trump as a symbol and a brand is very shiny to the point where, yes, he actually looks presidential? His MAGA platform on the surface is pretty stellar as well and looks more so as the years go by and the Left begins increasingly to cater and grovel to special interest minorities.
I can say all that while flat-out confessing that I would never vote for him because he is a liar, sociopath, authoritarian, criminal and embarrassingly unqualified.
But his biggest crime of all?
He will not tax the rich. The rich are criminals. Tax the fuck outta them and extend the social safety net to obscene proportions. I donβt even care. Grow our country from the bottom up and middle out like old school FDR did in the Great Depression. Support every strike and union you ever hear of until things change. Itβs only gonna get worse with Republican control. They even want to shut down the Government, but of course, it doesnβt affect their own pay and job security.
In an ideal nation, there would only be, like, 100 Republicans out of the 435 members in Congress. They would be representing, likely, the riches counties. And thatβs perfectly fine, and weβll listen to their concerns. This will be the future of prosperous, forward-looking liberal progressive America.
