3-Year-Old Kills 4-Year-Old Sister with Gun

"3-year-old girl found a loaded gun in a Texas home and accidentally shot her sister, killing the 4-year-old on Sunday, police said. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the girls were in the bedroom of an apartment on Bammel North Houston Road in Houston, where they lived with their parents, around 8 p.m.

Five adults, who were all family members or family friends, were in other parts of the apartment and the girls unintentionally were left unsupervised, Gonzalez said.

He said one parent thought the other was watching the girls, and they were left alone in a bedroom. The 3-year-old girl found a loaded pistol and fired a single shot, the sheriff said.

"The 3-year-old gained access to a loaded, semi-automatic pistol. Family members heard a single gunshot. They ran into the room and found the small toddler, 4-years-old, unresponsive," Gonzalez said.

The girl was pronounced dead at the scene after police responded to a 911 call by the family, Gonzalez told journalists outside the home."

Texas. It figures.
Gun nuts and their lax gun laws.

If one of the adults had shot the 3-year-old, the 4-year-old would still be alive.

There was an incident in Indianapolis, IN, that was fairly similar in some ways to this one some years ago. The parents, who had a 4 year old and a 1 year old, had a loaded gun that they kept on a high shelf in their bedroom closet, which was unlocked, thinking that the 4 year old kid could not get to it.

One day, while the parents were in another part of the house taking care of the 1 year old, the 4 year old climbed up to the high shelf in the parents' bedroom closet, got hold of his parents' gun, started playing with it, and shot himself in the head, killing himself.

Had the parents had the common sense to at least keep their gun and the ammunition locked in a safe, instead of keeping the loaded gun on a high shelf in the bedroom closet, this would not have happened. Parents with small children should realize that kids are curious, they climb, and they get into stuff. Obviously the parents went derelict on their responsibility towards their kids and themselves, resulting in the loss of a life--their 4 year old child.

Having an unlocked, loaded gun around the house, especially with small children, or even people with a history of mental illness, substance and alcohol abuse and addiction, or anger management issues around the house, is extraordinarily irresponsible.

3-year-old be thinking "rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6"

reply

Responsible gun owners keep guns out of the hands of children, this guy wasn’t a responsible gun owner. While we’re on the subject hundreds of black lives are taken by gun/gang violence in demokkkrat run major cities yet you and your cult are suspiciously silent on it

reply

Tens of thousands of white men commit suicide with their own gun yet you and your cult are suspiciously silent on it.

Btw, white men also sell guns to violent gangs!

reply

Bringing up race is irrelevant, the right doesn't care about race. Your cult however has bitched non stop about some kind of federal conspiracy to murder black people (which you have provided zero proof to back up BTW), yet the biggest threat to black lives is gang violence so it's hypocritical of you to ignore it. As I've been saying you only care about gun violence or black lives when you can use it to further your lies and radical agenda.

Your entire post is about race!

54% of all gun-related deaths in the U.S. were suicides mainly white males!

Highest gun deaths are all in red states. Lowest gun deaths are all in blue states:

Highest rates of gun-related deaths – counting murders, suicides and all other categories tracked by the CDC – included Mississippi (28.6 per 100,000 people), Louisiana (26.3), Wyoming (25.9), Missouri (23.9) and Alabama (23.6).

The states with the lowest rates included New York (5.3), Rhode Island (5.1), New Jersey (5.0), Massachusetts (3.7) and Hawaii (3.4)

I don't care about race, you people however make everything about race yet ignore the true problems plaguing the African American community because it doesn't fit your narrative. Gang violence is killing black men every single day yet you the alleged savior of the black community just sweeps it under the rug. DemoKKKrat mayors and governors are allowing it to happen so apparently you people want black people to die.

reply

You say you don't care about race while writing more about race while spreading racial stereotypes. ok.

reply

What racial stereotypes did I spread? I’m just going off the numbers dumbass and I’m just responding to your cults obsession with race. Learn how to read you idiot.

reply

You should give me $10 each time you write "black".

reply

Wow, you’d make a whopping $30. You should give me a nickel every time you lie. I’d be a fucking millionaire by now.
