GOP Shamefully Attacks Teachers

Teachers used to be respected.

But, the GOP prefers to vilify and threaten them with lawsuits for teaching history.

Biden spokeout against the harmful attacks and defended American teachers against the GOP hate mongering.

"U.S. President Joe Biden said American teachers are being unfairly targeted in "the culture wars," and warned against book banning in an event at the White House Wednesday.

Biden, speaking at an annual 2022 National and State Teachers of the Year award ceremony, said politicians are trying to score points by banning books, in an apparent reference to conservatives and Republicans in states from Texas to Tennessee.

"American teachers have dedicated their lives to teaching our children and lifting them up," Biden said to murmurs of agreement from the teachers. "We’ve got to stop making them the target of the culture wars. That’s where this is going.”

Across the United States, more than 1,000 titles, mostly addressing racism and LGBTQ issues, have been removed from school libraries in recent months, according to the writers' organization PEN America."

reply

Not nearly as disgusting as the left vilifying cops, border patrol, our military, etc. You know the people who put their lives on the line to keep their sorry asses safe.

reply

Deflection!
You have no excuse for attacking teachers.

BTW, Jan 6 was your cult beating and murdering the police!

reply

No deflection at all, just pointing out that your moral outrage isn’t legitimate, it’s all political as is you pissing and moaning over a couple of idiots trespassing into a building while your cult leaders have literally told their mob to burn cities down and kill cops. That’s right 574 insurrections incited by the DemoKKKrats, over 20 dead, thousands of cops wounded, billions of dollars in damage.

reply

But... but... orange man bad! Shit! My man-bun came loose!

The ONLY hate mongerer here is YOU. You prove it with every post.

"the culture wars" : That's what the Libs love. You seek to divide.

So you think it's right for teachers to tell 6 year olds that they can mutilate their privates and pretend to be the opposite sex??? Of course that's what the progressives want. God forbid anyone hurt anyone else's feelings.

I still can't figure out if you are trolling us..... No one could be that dense and dumb.

Maybe you need to get LAID.

reply

If he dresses up as a 14 year old, he might score with Old Joe himself. Get him some of that leg rubbing action.

And there at least 80 million other people as dumb as him.

reply

You have no credibility in this forum. No one cares what you think.

reply

He lies about what people are just because they have the audacity to call him out on his BS, and when someone uses his own tactics against him, he runs away like a coward.

He's a liar and a hypocrite. AND a coward.

reply

Yep. She lied and said I made racist posts so I said to prove it, many times. She slunk away like the coward she is and reported me for stalking. I guess on MC, it's okay to blatantly lie about someone but it's not okay to call someone out on their lies.

reply

In the immortal words of George Carlin, "%$#@ the children".

reply

Parents on both sides don't want history being taught in the manner of CRT and the transgender unicorn.

Merrick Garland's daughter is married to the cofounder of the education company that sells CRT materials to school districts.

We live in a fairly conservative area but even my sons have told me the teachers are very biased. One said how his history teacher told everyone that "communism is poetry on paper". Now we have many students railing against "capitalism". Did you know the term capitalism was made up by communists? Before it was known for "doing business".

reply

They don't teach CRT in schools.

Capitalism existed centuries before Communism.

reply

Yes, it was called doing business. No term for it.

Yes, they do teach it and have been caught, even school districts that claim it isn't going on.

Why do you think the evidence of such from their students is being presented by parents at school board meetings?

reply

Nope. CRT is a course in law schools analyzing reasons for continued racial disparity throughout the legal system decades after Civil Rights legislation was passed and how to address it. For instance, whites are more likely to violate drug laws than people of color, but in some states black men have been sent to prison on drug charges at rates 20-50x greater than white men. Very unfair, don't you think?

Chris Rufo has admitted to lying by changing its definition:

"The goal is to have the public read something crazy in the newspaper and immediately think "critical race theory." We have decodified the term and will recodify it to annex the entire range of cultural constructions that are unpopular with Americans."

That's called association. Similar to Pavlov dogs' (bell = food) except Rufo is using the "CRT" term as the bell. He's basically attempting to associate negativity with ending racism. Similar to calling a nonracist white person a n***** lover. That's how hate perpetuates and that's what his goal is.

Re: school curriculum. Books written by Blacks, women, Jews, Hispanics, LGBTQ, Asians, Native-Americans are disproportionately being banned. All history from different perspectives should be taught. This is an attempt to whitewash atrocities like slavery and genocide. It's a painful part of American history, but it needs to be taught. And it's NOT CRT.

Re: Capitalism.
"The terms “capital,” “capitalist,” and “capitalistic” were used for centuries before the term “capitalism” was coined."

"It is widely but mistakenly believed that German socialist Karl Marx (1818–1883) coined the term “capitalism.”

The term was coined in 1850 by another socialist, Louis Blanc (1811–1882). Blanc used the term “capitalism”—for the first time in print—in the ninth edition of his book Organisation du travail.

No, they bury it also into the curriculum. Always bringing up examples of race, victimization and oppression, pitting students against each other, etc.

Florida apparently cleaned house.

Here's an email chain obtained through a public records request that involves two teachers in Rhode Island wanting students to defend CRT at board meetings and offering bonus points to do so.

Here's something that thousands of teachers signed that they will continue to teach it regardless of state laws.

Here's an example how they fit CRT into their curriculum:

So, there might not be a "Critical Race Theory" book to make you think you can deny it is not being taught if you bury it within until someone spots the language and exercises through examination of textbooks or their children's homework.

Hey, if you say it's not there then I'm sure you won't mind that legislation will be created to ensure it is not being taught.

As far as "Capitalism", Karl Marx brought it into popularity.

Look at this bullcrap:

https://alphanews.org/school-staff-begin-meetings-by-committing-to-dismantling-whiteness/

You don't tear down one group to build up another, period. And I think most students that aren't radicalized with this to think badly of one another based on skin color, want to be treated equally. It's just poison to divide people.

Attacking gay kids in Florida is something you support?

The question about the shooting isn't CRT. It's political science and/or sociology. It's actually an excellent subject to teach in schools because it allows students to understand that people have different viewpoints based on their experiences and demographics. Demographics research is commonly used in advertising, politics and Fox to appeal to specific groups.

Re: capitalism. You wrote origin, not popularity.

Your link is horrible since it's oversimplified. I hope you take the time to read my link. My link states that the term was originally used negatively by many men and describes when it was first used positively.

Also, there are different types of Capitalism: free-market; oligarchic capitalism; state guided capitalism; corporate capitalism; entrepreneurial capitalism and welfare capitalism.

They're not all good like Putin's and N. Korea's Kim types of capitalism.

Sadly, free-market capitalism tends to eventually become oligarchic which is happening now in the U.S. for the third time. That form almost never ends well.

"dismantling “processes that benefit whiteness.”"

Are you upset because they're trying to end white privilege and racism in order to have equity? You can't have equality, which you claim to want, unless you actively end discrimination and racism. "Blacks imprisoned 30-50x more than white men" needs to be fixed. Why are you ignoring this?

"Always bringing up examples of race, victimization and oppression"

You're admitting that you only want white history taught. That's racism and discrimination.

Slavery existed throughout MOST of U S. history, but you don't want it taught.

Perhaps, the real reason is because you want white men to be IDOLIZED and remain the ONLY voice in schools. That's perpetuating discrimination by denying equal access to history.

The majority of school children are now persons of color. History and narratives can't only be about white people.

"Attacking gay kids in Florida is something you support?"

K-3 absolutely NO talk of sexuality nor gender confusion, are you kidding me? That's the point. We didn't even know our teachers first names, let alone their household situation. Put a lid on it and give them an education of the fundamentals, without the social sexuality activism that they said wouldn't happen. Slippery slope going to slip, turns out to be true.

My link is horrible? Thanks for sharing your opinion. And thanks for sharing CRT is a wonderful subject in your eyes. People have a differing opinion about this toxic approach to teaching humanity. It is everything but.

We all learned about slavery and such, no need to start in the lower grades with that baggage, but we all learned it when we learned about American history. What makes you think people weren't? It's the "white supremacy" label and "white privilege" you are trying to accuse the white children of, and telling black children they are currently being oppressed at the same time. They are dividing the children.

Parents are fighting against this radical ideology that has recently developed.

Thanks for admitting it is being taught. No, we are not going to give some children a guilt complex and most adults reject a guilt complex about the past, we learn from the past so not to repeat it. And telling other children they are perpetual victims.

reply

Hang in there VonFisch, you are doing good work. I respect your efforts greatly

reply

Thank you, it is all seemingly communist ideology tactics being done to divide and control the populace by turning our children into radical activists and obey what the elites are telling them while our children's real education suffers. It started in the universities and now they want it in K-12.

Grievance studies and such are pretty much a cult that people need to break out of.

Here's an example of someone who actually did wake up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zT_0SULHCJI&t=17s

Here's an example of an explanation of how they legitimize their radical ideology.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NelsKQQDTxU

Those captured in this are devoid of logic and reason and can only resort to passionate feelings of outrage. Their weapons are censorship, cancelling, and labelling people to protect the narrative and as a defense for fear people might think for themselves. That's probably why they are dumbing down education, they don't want people to think and are trying to police it. They teach them to defer to "experts", but who's watching and interpreting the experts' findings?

reply

Liar.
