I know, right? I live in CA, and on two different occasions, I would be a good little voter and bring both my License and an envelope proving I lived in the area, and every time the women behind the table saw me pulling the license or envelope out (both clerks were black, by the way), they'd suddenly say "No ID is needed!" like it was some urgent information they had to divulge to me.

Funny considering you need ID's to do a lot of other things, like, oh...

- getting a driver's license
- getting a passport
- owning a gun
- buying a car
- opening a bank account
- getting some jobs (if it's a neighbor or relative, they usually don't ask)
- driving semi-trucks, buses, or ambulances
- buying alcohol
- and more!

...but you don't need one to vote. Interesting how that works.
