In fact, it is because of a death such as this that some people did not want to see the good doctor’s end of life practice become legal; For the politics board did not go gently in to the good night, but rather kicking and screaming to the bitter end. The board did not want to go. Sure, its final days were a bit wonky, the body broken, often spitting out “D’oh!” when it tried to speak, but it was not ready to go. Pleas for help went unanswered, petitions were to no avail and the Supreme Court refused to hear the case of the IMDb users v Bezos & Needham. Along with the SoapBox, it quickly became the go-to-board for discussions. U.S. politics often dominated the threads, but World politics, notably Canadian & European/U.K., also thrived. Often, there was a new post every 2 or 3 seconds and even in the dead of the night, posts would be less than 5 minutes apart. It wasn’t unusual for the most active users to post 500 or even 1,000 messages a week!It was an early morning yesterday

But I must be moving onEverything was fair game on the Politics board: Right Wing threads, Left Wing threads, Libertarian threads, Nut wing/Conspiracy threads as well as a multitude of off-topic threads. Friendships were forged, Frenemies made, enemies emerged and bitter rivalries developed. Sometimes they even spilled over into the real world. All the posters, except maybe a few wayward Soapboxers, had one major thing in common – A love of politics.
For ten years the Politics Board ruled the IMDb message boards. It valiantly fought off countless Trolls & Sock Armies, and survived 3 rigorous U.S. Presidential Elections. It was a place to argue, a place to brag, a place to learn, a place to celebrate, a place to commiserate. It will be missed.As i leave behind Neidin
