Just saw THE BOURNE LEGACY for the first time...

... and I honestly don't get the hate. I enjoyed it (didn't love it, still not a BOURNE fan) and thought it was on par with the first two and much better than ULTIMATUM which was just a shaky quick-cut blur to me. I guess what was actually refreshing is that this wasn't just one long chase movie. There was actually a story (the hearing, the elimination of all agents, those drugs that Rachel Weisz worked on, that coworker that goes nuts and kills everybody) and there was some room to breathe, not just endless chases and action. Plus the action was actually filmed in a coherent manner and was easy to follow. Maybe folks were upset that Matt Damon wasn't in it. I guarantee that if Damon was there those same folks would have loved it.

My favorite moments were the early parts in the mountains (love the wilderness!!) and the latter parts in Manila (primarily that extended bike chase which was very enjoyable).

I think this film (as a BOURNE movie) has nothing to be ashamed of. Like I said, it was a step up from the previous one.

Is anyone else bothered by Renner's fingernails? I believe that condition is called "clubbed fingernails". It looks almost like an illness. Very unnatural and kinda freaky.
