share in order to dupe non musical theatre fans into the theatre. What they come to see is a spectacle that includes a string of greatest hits from a rock band that they like or are familiar with. This is hardly imaginative and hardly music theatre. :/
Perhaps not - but maybe it will be a production that makes them hungry for me. Jersey Boys is an awesome "jukebox musical" - and I think people enjoying shows like it, and Mama Mia! will bring them back to shows that may be more original.
